Interiors
One-off sculptural vessels exploring the relationships between form and surface. These are mostly constructed in coarse stoneware bodies and the surfaces scraped and stained or thinly glazed. A series of pieces are often derived from a single starting point.
Work in porcelain explores similar themes but with a response dictated by the very different nature of the material. Surfaces are clean and precise and polished externally to a satin finish. Small “bird” jugs are made in a variety of proportions in a bid to explore the possibilities of one specific form.
